applicants between 10th May and the 10th June 2011. Tickets for London Olympics games were assigned by lottery to

On 26 June 130,000 unsold tickets to the London 2012 Olympic games were sold in the second chance sale. Tickets
which remain unsold will be made available for sale in July. So, if you have failed to secure a ticket to a
sporting event do not give up yet because any tickets remaining unsold will become available in the next round. For

The chair person of the 2012 London Olympics, Lord Seb Coe and the Lord Mayor of London, Boris Johnson reminded
schools headmasters in London that there were 125,000 free tickets available for London school children, but that
they had to be applied for.
That means that about one-in-eight London school children will get free tickets for London /Olympic Games or one
sort or another - the Olympics or the Paralympics. There are another 50,000 free tickets for school kids living
outside London.
The Ticketshare initiative for school kids is funded by a levy on hospitality packages sold by Prestige
Hospitality, so they will not be a drag on the resources and profits of the London Olympics and Paralympics.
At the time of writing 18,000 schools have shown an interest in free tickets for seats at London Olympics Games
events, but that is not the end of the process. Those that have already applied will have been sent details on what
to do next and they are urged to get on with the application as soon as possible.
About 3,000 London schools have already been granted their allocation of free tickets for London Olympics Games
venues. Those that have not yet registered need to do so before December 16th, 2011.

Teachers and students can download a wealth of material on the Games including games, quizzes, puzzles, films and
photos.
For the rest of the general public, applications for tickets for London Olympics Games events had to be in by
April 26th 2011. If there are more applications than tickets, an automated, random selection process called a
ballot will be applied so that selection is completely fair.
Successful applicants for tickets were required to authorize payment for their tickets between May 10th and June
10th 2011, so adequate funds needed to be in your designated account by then. All successful holders of tickets for
London Olympics Games events will have been notified and charged for tickets by June 24th, 2011.
Any tickets that have not been allocated or paid for after this time will be re-allocated in June and July 2011,
so there is no need to give up hope yet if you have not received your tickets for London Olympics Games events in
2012.
However, in order to get one of the tickets going, you will need to go to the official London Olympics website
and get in the next round. Tickets for seats will be sold on a first come, first served basis and the only
acceptable method of payment will be Visa card.
