London Olympic Dates

The tickets for the 2012 Olympic Games in London have now been allocated more or less, but there are a small number of tickets have been not been sold for one reason or another. There will be two more chances to get these tickets. London Olympic Dates

There are two separate Olympic Games being held in London in 2012: the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Both sets of games will share the same Olympic venues, stadiums and lodgings, so the 2012 summer Olympic teams will use them first and the 2012 Paralympic teams will take them over afterwards.

London 2012 London Olympics

The opening ceremony of the 30th Olympic Games in London in 2012 will take take place on 27th July and it is expected that one billion people will watch worldwide. The closing ceremony will take place on 12th Aug 2012 .

The vast majority of the tickets for London Olympic dates have already been sold, although there is still a very slight chance of being able to get a ticket, although that might not be until 2012 itself. However, the Olympics organising committee says that these tickets will only be allocated to those who applied in the first round.

The tickets that were not allocated and paid for before will go back on sale at 6am on 24th June and close at 6pm on 3rd July 2011. Payment for any tickets allocated will have to be paid for between 4 July and 7 July 2011. Successful applicants will be informed by 8th July.

There will be another sale of those tickets from the above sale that were not paid for. This sale will open at 6am on 8th July and close at 6pm
on 17th July 2011. Payments for this sale will be taken between 18 July and 21 July 2011. Successful applicants will be informed by 22nd July.

Schools must submit an application to be part of the London 2012 Get Set education network by 16th December 2011 in order to be eligible to receive their allocation of tickets.

2012 London Paralympics

The 2012 London Paralympic Games will open on the 29th August 2012 and close on the 9th Sept 2012.

Tickets for the events in the 2012 London international Paralympics will go on sale between the 9th and the 30th of September, 2011. The prices of tickets and the exact dates of the events is available on their official web site.

It is likely that the Paralympics Games tickets will be sold / allocated in the same way as they were for the first series of games, but who knows? There have been complaints, so the allocation system may be revised.
